My cousins and I have started an annual Christmas footie pj party at my Grandma's house. We get together and watch the movie "The Best Christmas Ever" its a classic that we all have watched at my Grandm's house since we were little. I'm pretty sure we all know every line and song by heart. It was a great time and we even got my Grandma Parker to wear her footie pj's too.

Things I Love About My Hubby
Brady and I have been married for almost 6 months now and although marriage has required adjustments on both parts, I fall more in love with him as time goes on. Here are some of the things I love most about my hubby...
- His smile.
- His laugh, especially when he finds something really funny and he laughs really hard.
- Waking up next to him. He is so cute and cuddly in the morning.
- He talks and even occasionally sings in his sleep. It's hilarious. Some nights I have to try so hard not to laugh so I don't wake him up. He also has funny dreams. One night I woke up to him bending my elbow back and forth. After a minute he put my arm down and didn't say a word. I was too tired to ask what he was doing at that moment so I waited til morning. He told me he had had a dream that I broke my arm and when he realized what he was doing he put my arm down and hoped I wouldn't notice.
- When he sets his mind to something it will happen. He is very motivated and hard-working. He doesn't believe in doing something half-heartedly.
- He loves life to the fullest.
- He is adventurous
- He honors his priesthood and fulfills his callings.
- He can always make me laugh even if I don't want to.
- He gives great back massages.
- He is always the first to volunteer when someone needs help
- He takes care of me and is always looking out for my best interest.
- He is honest.
- He is always striving to be better, do more, learn more and be his best self, and helps me to do the same.
- He is willing to help whoever needs help and never expects anything in return.
- He protects me from spiders.

Wyoming, Thriller, and Maple Canyon
A few weekends ago Brady and I went up to his family's cabin in Wyoming. It was such a nice relaxing getaway. We spent most of the time hanging out by the wood burning stove reading and taking it easy. On Saturday we went to the Tetons, which are so beartiful, and did a hike by Jenny Lake that goes up to a waterfall. We both love going to the cabin and being in the outdoors so it was a great trip.
This is in Maple Canyon near my parents house in Moroni. We used to go there all the time when I was little and no one was ever there. Now rock climbers have found out about it so it's usually a bit more crowded. We went for a hike up box canyon with my parents. It was a lot of fun going back and taking Brady since I haven't been for a long time.
This is the waterfall we hiked to
The hike goes around Jenny Lake. It was so pretty with the snow
The week before Halloween we went down to St George to go to Thriller at Tuacahn with Josie and Marc. We used to go with all of our roommates every year as one of our traditions. I still love going. It's such a fun and festive show. Thanks Marc and Josie for letting us stay with you, it was a great time!

Oregon Coast and Redwoods Roadtrip
This past week Brady and I went on a road trip to the redwoods in California and drove along the Oregon coast. We went hiking in the redwoods, played on the beach, camped, went to a light house, saw sea lions and seals and had fun just being together. It was so much fun and so beautiful!! The redwoods are massive, I couldn't believe how big they are. The coast was amazing too. Something beautiful around every corner. We camped the whole way and had a great time! Thanks for a great trip babe! Can't wait til the next one.

Summer Happenings
Here are some things that have been going on this summer that I have been lazy about blogging.
Brady went back packing with our friend Matt to the top of the tetons
I guess there were some pretty steep cliffs they had to repel
and climb around. I'm glad I wasn't there to see it!
Brady has been working with a horse that my dad and
uncle gave us and after a few days got the saddle on him
Brady and I went back packing with some friends in the Uintas

and didn't take any pictures. We also were excited to find
out on the same day that my brother Nate and his wife
Randi had their second baby boy, Cade Timothy. He is so
cute and we can't wait to watch him grow.

Cherry Hills...the greatest fun spot you'll ever know
Every year my mom's side of the family has a family reunion at Cherry Hills in Kaysville. It's always a great time and I have so much fun with all of my cousins.

Honeymoon in Costa Rica
We went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon. We went for 10 days and had a blast. It is so beautiful there! We stayed by a volcano, went zip lining, hiked to a beautiful waterfall, played on the beach, went to hot springs, played with monkeys, ate, slept in, and our favorite...went river rafting. It was so much fun, and so exciting to experience it together.
Wedding Bells
Brady and I were married on May 22, 2010 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. It was the perfect day. The weather was amazing, the temple was beautiful, we were surrounded by people we love and I got to be sealed to my best friend for eternity. Brady is so amazing and I feel so blessed to have him in my life! I'm so excited to see what adventures life has in store for us.

Our Engagement Story
I'm still playing a little bit of catch up on the blog thing so I decided my next post should be about how Brady and I got engaged for those who don't know the story.
Brady and I had been dating for about 7 months. We had talked about what we wanted in a marriage, and what we thought a great marriage entailed, and that we thought each other had the qualities necessary, but never really talked about us specifically getting married. I knew I wanted to marry Brady and had told him so but I think he wasn't quite ready to make that decision because of how big that decision is. I had started getting frustrated because I had known I wanted to marry him for awhile and was struggling being patient (nothing new for me) while he figured things out for himself. At the beginning of a week in the middle of March Brady told me not to plan anything for the following Friday because he had a surprise for me. I started thinking about what the surprise could be and figured it must be that he wanted to go to Sundance to go night skiing because he had been wanting me to learn because he loves skiing. Sure enough skiing was the surprise. This was only my second time skiing so I was excited to learn but not excited because i'm completely horrible at skiing. We got on the lift to go up for our first run and as we get to the top I attempt to get off the lift and completely face plant it. Both of my ski's pop off and they had to stop the lift so I could get out of the way. At this point i'm sure we were both thinking it was going to be a really long night. I did improve however as the night went on and Brady advanced me from the entirely sucky category to advanced in the sucky category:) After skiing we drove up to a cabin that belongs to our friends. We walked in and Brady told me to change downstairs while he set some things up upstairs. Brady had tried to surprise me with a campfire dinner over Valentines but it didn't work so I figured he was making up for that. Brady came down and brought me upstairs where I saw the fireplace going and an amazing meal, which he prepared, out on the table. We ate and talked and were having a great time when Brady asked me to put another log on the fire. There was a bag in front of the wood so I moved it and underneath the bag on top of the wood was a small white box. I remember thinking "thats weird maybe they keep matches in it," so I moved it aside and put a log on the fire.(I know...i'm oblivious) Brady looked at me and said "oh what's that" so I turned back and saw the box again and then it hit me! I looked at him and said "are you kidding me" I was in complete shock because we hadn't looked at rings and hadn't talked about a date or even if it was going to happen for sure. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I was so excited and speechless. I of course said yes and didn't want to let him go as we hugged. He had brought the movie The Proposal (very fitting and thought out) so we watched and cuddled by the fire. Everything was perfect and I was completely surprised and thrilled. Brady is so amazing and I can't believe how lucky I am to be married to him!
PS he had asked my dad to marry me a few weeks before when he had gone to help my dad get new turkeys. My dad was great at keeping the secret, he didn't even tell my mom. My dad was the only one of either of our families who knew it was going to happen so it was a lot of fun surprising everyone with the news.
