The arrival of Kinley Noel Barlow. My due date was Dec 21 but I was planning on being induced on the 28th since it seems like most people have to be induced on there first baby. On Dec 21 I had a Dr appointment at which they stripped my membrane for the second time. I was 3cm dilated and the Dr told me he thought I would deliver before the 28th. I started having frequent contractions but nothing painful. Brady and I met up with my family that night for a little Christmas party to exchange gifts. We came home and went to bed. I actually slept really well and woke up around 4am to use the restroom. When I got back in bed my contractions started getting increasingly more painful. I didn't want to chance going to the hospital and being sent home but didn't know how painful they should be before going in. Brady woke up to my whimpering but I held out until 5am when I couldn't take it anymore. We grabbed our things and headed to the hospital. We got checked in and the nurse came in to check me and said I was 4cm dilated. They hooked me and baby up to monitors but said they wanted to wait an hour to see if there was enough change to keep me. While waiting my contractions were getting really painful and luckily they decided I was advanced enough to stay. They couldn't do my epidural for about 30 min so the nurse decided to start an IV and just give me some pain meds. She had a really hard time getting an IV started but after 4 or 5 pokes finally got one in. The pain meds helped a little but I was still anxious for the epidural. I know i'm a wuss...I don't know how people do this naturally! They came in to give me my epidural and I was very surprised that it didn't hurt at all to get. It helped a lot but I was still feeling the contractions a descent amount which made me really nervous because I know the worst was to come. The nurse had the anesthesiologist come back in and he gave me a little more juice which did the trick. From that point I felt nothing from the waste down which was fantastic. The next time the nurse checked me I was 6cm dilated and she had the Dr come in and break my water. Brady was such a great support through everything. He doesn't do hospitals well so I was a little worried but he was so amazing. He even held the garbage for me while I threw up a few times. After the Dr broke my water it was only about an hour before I was 10cm and ready to push. The nurse told me most first time moms have to push 2 to 3 hours so that is what I was planning on. I started pushing around 10:45am an our little Kinley was born at 11:35am on Saturday, Dec 22, 2012. Things went so smoothly I just hope im not ruined if future babies are harder to get here. She weighed 8lb 11oz and was 20 inches long. It was such and amazing and surreal experience and I cant believe she is finally here. We spent the night at the hospital and went home the next afternoon. One of my favorite things is seeing Brady with her. He is so in love with her and I love watching him with her. He is the best Husband and will make the best daddy! We love our little Kinley and feel so blessed to be her parents.

39 Weeks And Ready For Blast Off
Well I will be 39 weeks this Friday and I must say I am ready to not be pregnant anymore. While I have had a really good pregnancy I am ready to not be fat, have swollen ankles, pee every hour, not be able to breath, have my organs used as punching bags, not be able to sleep on my back, have to waddle like a penguin etc. etc. Mostly I am just so excited and ancy to see my little girl. I know the lack of sleep and lack of freedom will decrease once she is here but at least I will get to cuddle and see her and interact with her. Brady had to go to North Dakota for work for the past week and a half and will be home tomorrow so I am ok with her not coming until he gets home (and would definitely prefer that) but once he is here...bring it on. I am as ready as I am going to be. I am nervous about all of the newness that will come along with this phase of life but that is outweighed by how excited I am for this new adventure of being a mom. I also can't wait to see Brady wrapped around the finger of his little girl. He will be the cutest daddy and I am so glad to have him by my side for all of this!
I know I look like I am smuggling basketballs under my shirt.
Brady and I may weigh about the same
now but its all worth it in the end right?!

Friends and Baby Showers
This weekend I went home for a baby shower that my high school and college friends threw for me. It was so fun to catch up with everyone. It has been way too long since I have seen some of them. They all spoiled me with cute outfits, blankets, carseat covers and goodies for baby Barlow. Thanks so much for all the gifts and fun girls!! Thanks Josie for putting it all together and for everyone that helped!
Back row: Amber, Torie, Lucy, Stacy
Front row: Josie, Stephanie Sorensen, Heather, Stephanie Scott, Tricia
I also had a shower awhile ago with the girls I work with at the hospital, but being the slacker I am I did not get any pictures of that one. But thanks to all you girls as well for spoiling baby Barlow and making work at the hospital more enjoyable!!

29 Weeks And Counting
This last Friday I hit 29 weeks. As you can see the baby bump is growing nicely. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable at night and struggle to get to my own shoes to tie them but things are going great. She is moving and kicking like crazy and I have seen my belly moving like crazy when she is doing what appears to be flips inside. Sometimes it gets pretty weird to see it moving so much. I have always been the one that is cold but lately I freeze Brady out at night because I'm so warm and need the windows wide open.
We also tried to get some 3D images the other day but she wasn't being the most cooperative. We did get a few glimpses but not a full shot of her face.
You can see her cute little lips and button nose. I can't wait to see her in person!!
This is more of a side shot but it looks like she has really chubby cheeks
Some End Of Summer Fun
One thing I am going to miss about summer is camping and boating so we did a little of both before it got too cold. I was able to go camping with my family up Fairview Canyon awhile ago and even though it was a quick trip it was a lot of fun.
Nothing like a good smore while camping
Dad couldn't find his jacket so he borrowed moms...very fashionable
We also got to spend some time with Owen and Camille while they were in Utah for a few days. We managed to get in a day at the lake which was very nice.

Life According To My Phone
I've been a little horrible at taking pictures lately
but here are a few from my phone of what's
been going on lately
Joshua and Mason just hanging out at the hotel in
Mesquite when we went down for my uncle Kirks funeral
Grandpa reading to all the boys
Brady's parents gave us a dresser they weren't using anymore so we could put it in our nursery.
I didn't get any before pics but it was an older dresser so I decided to spruce it up with some new
paint so it would be a more nursery friendly color. Brady loves the turquoise...just ask him.
Even though its not the color Brady would have picked he let me do what I wanted and
I love how it turned out. Now I just need to get the nursery all set up and get some
more pics of the finished product.
We did a little camping over Labor Day weekend up AF canyon. It was pretty crowded
but with a little off-roading we found a great spot away from the crowds. We also
got to test out Brady's new camp chef stove. It was a quick but very fun trip.

Two Trips in Two Weeks
What a busy summer this has been...in a very good way! We have been able to do a lot of fun things this summer and the last two weeks were no exception. We went to Star Valley Ranch in Wyoming to the Barlow cabin for some family time. I was horrible at taking pictures so these are just a few that I have. Everyone was able to come, even Cam flew over from Hawaii to join. It was a lot of fun and is so beautiful up there!! After that we came home for a short stop then headed to Lake Powell. I love Lake Powell! It is so much fun down there and we had a blast. A family friend of the Barlows (Dave Paxman) was very generous and let us use his house boat for the trip. Of course he didn't want to miss out on the fun so he came along with us. There was lots of swimming, boat rides, wake boarding, eating, and just lots and lots of fun!
We hiked up to some really cool indian ruins in Indian Canyon.
I had never seen these before
We got Mallory to go for her first time on the wake board. Not even her older brothers tried
STAR VALLEY RANCH CABIN
This place is so beautiful. The view from the back porch. The cabin sits on a golf course which is a lot of fun. I think my father-in-law especially enjoys that aspect
A beautiful fly fishing area
Mowing the lawn was a two person job this trip
I love wood burning stoves!
Buddy's favorite part of the cabin is golf cart rides
LAKE POWELL!!!!!!

Part way through the trip Brady decided to trim his beard and go for just the mustache instead. Its a scary thing...don't want to look at it but somehow can't stop staring at it
